Adventure Island 3 is a 2D side-scrolling platformer game that was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Game Boy. It is the third installment in the Adventure Island series of games. In Adventure Island 3 Master Higgins gains the ability to crouch or duck but he can't go back to a previous part of a stage. New weapons have been added to the game such as the boomerang and a new companion or ridable dinosaur has been added as well. The new dinosaur is a triceratops, which has the ability to use a rolling attack to defeat enemies.
