Boxing was a sports boxing game released for the Atari 2600. Similar to Bowling, Boxing was the first boxing video game around, as indicated by it and Bowling's simple names. The two are even more closely related due to Boxing being developed by Activision, a company co-founded by a former Atari employee after releasing Bowling. Boxing takes place from a top-down perspective in which two players (or a player and CPU) spar it out trying to score 100 punches in one two-minute match. The first to do so wins, though whoever has the highest punch count by the end of the match can also win. Distance determines the effects of your punches.
