Aladdin (sometimes referred to as Disney's Aladdin) is a platforming video game, originally for the SNES. Developed by Capcom shortly after the movie of the same name came out, the game is notable for being an early designer role for Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami. The game, as with many movie tie-in games of the era, features mostly platforming gameplay. You play as Aladdin himself, jumping your way through a variety of stages as you collect gems and dodge enemies. Bonuses can be acquired through Genie by finding secret scarab beetles in each level. The game was often compared to another Aladdin tie-in game that released the same month, though that one was developed by Virgin Games for a completely separate console.
