Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls is a fighting game developed by Leland Interactive, an American company that gained rights to the IP from Double Dragon series creator Technos Japan. As a result of this, the gameplay takes a swerve from the 2D beat-em-up nature of the main series, instead pitting players against each other in head-to-head fights with various Double Dragon characters. The game is single-player but can be played multiplayer with one other person (due to the nature of the head-to-head matches). Featuring a variety of modes, the gameplay is heavily similar to Street Fighter, though the modes set it apart in some ways.
