Mario Is Missing! is a 2D educational game released for MS-DOS, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1993. The game was developed and published by the American software company The Software Toolworks and was designed to teach geography to children between the ages of seven and ten. The game stars Luigi, who must recover the pieces of ancient artifacts that Bowser has stolen. Bowser plans to sell these artifacts so he can buy enough hairdryers to melt the ice of Antarctica. To save the World, Luigi must travel around Earth (Europe, Asia, and Africa) to get back the artifacts that were stolen, all while learning about geography and history.
