Mortal Kombat II is a 2D fighting game that was originally produced by Midway for the arcades in 1993 but later received ports to other platforms. It ended up on consoles such as the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It is the second game in the Mortal Kombat series of video games and is a sequel to the original Mortal Kombat game. The gameplay has been improved over the first game, introducing new moves, new characters, and even including new fatalities. Mortal Kombat II continues the story from the first game and this time features the next Mortal Kombat tournament.
