Sonic the Hedgehog Cheats For Genesis

Level Select

To enable level select, at the title screen, press Up, Down, Left, Right. You will hear a sound effect play that sounds like a ring being collected. After that, hold A and press Start and a level select screen will appear.

Confused Sonic

If you turn on the game and don't press anything a demo will begin to play with Sonic going through levels. If you hold C during one of these demos, Sonic will become confused and start to mess up, he will run into enemies, not know where to go or fall onto something that will kill him (spikes or lava).

Control Mode

To enter control mode, at the title screen, press Up, C, Down, C, Left, C, Right. Now, you can pause the game and press A to restart the game, press B for slow motion, and press C to advance one frame at a time.

Bonus Point

To earn extra bonus points, complete each level in the time shown below.
