Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts Cheats For SNES

Extra Lives

Most people don't know, but you can start the game with up to 9 lives per continue. Head over to the "Option Mode" on the Title Screen and go down to where it says "PLAYER". Change the amount to 9 or any amount of lives you want to play the game with. For the veteran players out there, you can decrease this to give yourself more of a challenge.

Change Game Difficulty

There is no dispute that Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is a difficult game, but if you are struggling to make it by each level, you could always lower the game's difficulty settings. Head over to the "Option Mode" on the Title Screen and go down to where it says "GAME LEVEL". From here, change the difficulty to anywhere ranging from Beginner to Professional.

Level Select

To activate level select, head over to the "Option Mode" on the Title Screen and highlight "Exit". Next, hold L and Start on controller 2 and press Start on controller 1. This will let you pick the starting level a section of the level, plus it will give you access to the game's sound test.

Bracelet Of Power

In order to beat the game completely, you will need to obtain the Bracelet Of Power. This bracelet is only obtainable on your second play-through of the game and can be obtained from a jar or trunk. It can drop in any level on the second play-through. The bracelet is hard to miss since you will see a fairy come out of a trunk or jar and then the fairy turns into the bracelet, so be on the lookout for the fairy.

Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts Game Genie Codes

The following cheat codes are for Game Genie. These can be used on a Super Nintendo (SNES) with a Game Genie device or you can use these on any emulator that supports Game Genie Codes. If you want a Game Genie Device, you can always Check on Amazon for one.

General Cheats

These are general cheats that will make playing Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts less difficult.

Note: You need to disable Invincibility at the end of the first two stages of level 3 or you won't be able to proceed to the next area.

Non-Upgraded Weapons

These codes will allow you to spawn with any non-upgraded weapon of your chosen. Even after a death, you will spawn back with this weapon. 

Upgraded Weapons

These codes will allow you to spawn with any upgraded weapon of your chosen. Even after a death, you will spawn back with this weapon.  You don't need Green or Golden armor to use these.
