Super R-Type Cheats For SNES

Level Select

To enable level select, hold R and press up 9 times while you're on the title screen. If you enter this cheat code correctly a sound effect will play letting you know it worked. To use the level selection option, pause the game and press R + Select + A. You will notice an option on the bottom left of the screen that will allow you to pick what level you want to go to.

Weapon Select

To select whatever weapon combo you want press Down, R, Right, Down, Right, Right, Down, Right, Down, Down on the title screen. Now when you are on a level pause the game and press R, Right, Down, Y, Down, Right, Down, Left, Right, Down, Right, Right.

Next, pick your main weapon by pressing one of the buttons below.

• Sky Laser - A
• Reflect Laser - X
• Ground Laser - B
• Spread Shot - Y
• Bomb Shot - R

Next, pick your passive missile type by pressing one of the buttons below.

• Homing Missile - A
• Ground Missile - X

Pro Difficulty

If you beat the game on hard mode then when the game loops over again for a second playthrough you will be able to play on the pro difficulty mode.

Super R-Type Game Genie Codes

The following cheat codes are for Game Genie. These can be used on a Super Nintendo (SNES) with a Game Genie device or you can use these on any emulator that supports Game Genie Codes. If you want a Game Genie Device, you can always check on Amazon for one.
