The Lion King is a 2D platform video game based on Disney's animated film of the same name. The game was developed by Westwood Studios and published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment for the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The Lion King video game follows a similar story to the animated film where Simba must fight his even uncle Scar. In the game, the player controls Simba from when he is a child and all the way to his adulthood as they progress through the story. Simba as a child can use a roar to stun enemies and jump on enemies to defeat them. When Simba becomes an adult, he gains new attacks such as scratching, mauling and gains the ability to throw enemies.
