Clay is a resource in Stranded Deep that plays a vital role in crafting. If you ever want to build a clay water bottle, brick buildings, or a fuel still for fuel production, you’ll definitely need some clay.

Clay is the fundamental building block needed for the production of brick scraps (clay bricks) which are needed to build all the parts for brick structures.

How to Get Clay

To get clay in Stranded Deep, you must find clay nodes. Clay nodes are found not too far out on the coast of each island and can be mined using the refined pick. The clay nodes look like different rocks from the rest of the terrain, making them easily stick out.

When the clay nodes are struck with the pick, they will break into pieces with each clay node or rock yielding 6 clay. The clay can be stacked up to 4 clay per item slot in your inventory.
